The Russian state agency for supervision of communications, IT and mass media, Roskomnadzor issued a decision to remove restrictions over the use of Telegram, an encrypted messaging platform. In the decision, Roskomnadzor positively assessed the readiness expressed by the founder of Telegram to counter terrorism and extremism. The decision comes after Telegram founder Pavel Durov confirmed the platform improved methods of detecting and removing 'extremist propaganda', and asked authorities to end restrictions, RT reports.
