Facebook announced it is limiting content posted by profiles operated by Myanmar's military. The platform alleged that these profiles have continually spread misinformation since the army seized power and jailed civilian leaders on 1 February 2021. In addition, Facebook has suspended the ability of Myanmar authorities to send content-removal requests through channels that are available to other official authorities worldwide.
