According to the Financial Times, the European Commission is set to allow data to continue to flow freely from the EU to the UK after concluding to an adequate level of protection for personal information. The draft decision, seen by the Financial Times, is expected to be approved this week. It will be periodically reviewed by the European Commission and open to legal challenges at the Court of Justice of the EU. A full adoption of the adequacy decision must take place before June 30, when the interim regime agreed after Brexit will expire.
