EU adopts adequacy decision on Japan

The European Commission adopted an adequacy decision that will facilitate the sharing of data between the EU and Japan. The Japanese data protection watchdog also recognised the EU data protection regime as equivalent, providing mutual recognition on both sides, as reported byBloomberg.
