Google has recently announced a new messaging service -Allo, that would allow a bot to listen in on users' conversations and offer helpful suggestions and services. The service will be equipped with an 'incognito' mode that switches on an end-to-end encryption system designed to let no one listen in on the conversations (be in Google, a hacker, or a law enforcement agency (LEA)). The same system will be used in Google's new video calling application Duo. With this system in place, the company will not be able to assist LEAs in decrypting an incognito Allo conversation or a Duo call. More details in aGoogle blog post and a Wired article.
