The Government of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), in partnership with EY consulting firm, haslaunched the Think AI initiative dedicated to accelerating the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in strategic sectors such as infrastructure, governance, and legislation. The initiative will entail a series of roundtables, workshops, and panel discussions involving governmental officials, the private sector, and local and international organisations with expertise in AI. Some of these events will explore issues related to educating and attracting talented AI experts, enhancing the adoption of AI, and preparing the necessary infrastructure to support the development and application of AI. The debates will also revolve around regulation and governance, in an effort to determine how to best design adequate regulations and policies for AI. Last, but not least, there will be discussions about plans to develop UAE national standards for AI.
