Turkey as of 15 January 2020 has restored fully access to the Wikipedia online encyclopedia. This has brought to an end the block of the popular online resource that lasted some 991 days. A report prepared by Netblocks which monitored access to the Wikipedia website in Turkey provided the confirmation.
The restoration follows a ruling by the Turkish Constitutional Court, that decided on 26 December 2019 that the two-and-half-year ban of the Wikipedia website in the country was unconstitutional.
