More than 49 countries and regions have joined the Hiroshima AI Process Friends Group, Japan's Prime Minster Kishida Fumio revealed. The group serves as a voluntary framework for countries supporting the Hiroshima AI Process (HAIP).
Kihisda made the remarks at a side event, 'Towards Safe, Secure and Trustworthy AI: Promoting Inclusive AI Governance,' at the sidelines of the Meeting of the Council at Ministerial Level (MCM) of the OECD.
The members of the Friends Group and Japan will work to implement the International Guiding Principles and the Code of Conduct, promoting cooperation to ensure that people worldwide can benefit from the use of safe, secure, and trustworthy AI, Kishida stated.
