To improve the capacity of developing countries to play an active role in the digital economy amid the COVID-19 crisis, the government of Sweden has donated USD$480,000 to support the UN Conference on Trade and Development's (UNCTAD) work on e-commerce and the digital economy. The fund will contribute to ameliorating UNCTAD's ability to support women digital entrepreneurs through the eTrade for Women initiative, design new courses to raise awareness on e-commerce, and enhance the measurement of the digital economy.
