A news report has indicated that legal advisor to the president of Sudan has applied to a court in the capital Khartoum to cancel the ruling to restore Internet services in Sudan. A press release by the Secretary-General of the Sudanese Consumer Protection Society (SCPS) Haydar Ahmed Abdullah, stated that the legal advisor to the presidency filed an appeal with the Khartoum district court demanding the cancellation of the ruling to return Internet access to the country.
According to the report, SCPS's lawyer raised an objection challenging the capacity of Abdullah and the institution he represents. The court ruled that Abdullah should bring official documentation showing which body he represents before the case could be determined.
