Facebook and Twitter are addressing the images circulating on social media insulting the death of George Floyd by portraying the scene of the Minneapolis police officer who knelt on Floyd's neck. The images published under the hashtag#GeorgeFloydChallenge on Facebook and Twitter were first reported in the United Kingdom. Three individuals have been taken into custody over their posts. The platforms have taken down the posts. Additionally, the hashtag no longer appears on Facebook, although some reactions denouncing the posts remain online. Twitter declared that these posts breach their rules on self-harm and abusive behavior.
