The Singapore government has apologised for not stating that contact tracing data collected by the TraceTogether App is accessible to law enforcement. It has introduced legislation that will specify that personal data collected through contact tracing can only be used for the specific purpose of contact tracing, except where there is a clear and pressing need to use that data for the criminal investigation of serious offences.
