The Irish Data Protection Commission (DPC) has launched an investigation into ad tech giant Quantcast following acomplaint from Privacy International. TechCrunch indicates that in cases where data controllers are found to have breached the GDPR, they can face financial penalties which can scale as high as 4% of their annual global turnover.
