The recent session of the Open-Ended Working Group (OEWG) on the security of and in the use of information and communications technologies (ICT) ended on 8 March; However, due to the extensive speakers list and time constraints imposed by the ongoing UN liquidity crisis, not all speakers could address the topic 'Establish, under the auspices of the United Nations, regular institutional dialogue with the broad participation of States' as outlined in the agreed Programme of Work.

Recognising the importance of hearing from all speakers, the Chair proposed a virtual informal town hall meeting on Wednesday, 27 March 2024, at 9:00 am (New York time) to continue discussions on regular institutional dialogue. Details for connection will be provided by the Secretariat.

During this meeting, as proposed at the conclusion of the seventh substantive session, the Chair plans to prioritise delegations that were unable to deliver their statements. Following that, all delegations will have the opportunity to share additional views on the issue beyond those expressed in their previous statements.
