According to Euractiv, Twitter may become the first big technology firm to face a fine by the Irish Data Protection Commission (DPC) for a General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) breach, after the authority submitted a preliminary decision in a probe to other EU data protection supervisors. The DPC has not commented on the substance of the preliminary Twitter decision at this point, but has shared its preliminary decision with all concerned EU supervisory authorities, to consider their views on its final verdict.
