Facebook and Qualcomm establish a partnership to provide Internet connectivity

Facebook and Qualcomm establish a partnership to bring high-speed Internet connectivity to cities. The initiative is based on Terragraph technology,  a 60GHz wireless system meant to deliver fast Internet to urban areas, introduced by Facebook in 2016. Facebook and Qualcomm will combine Facebook's Terragraph with Qualcomm's chipsets to help manufacturers develop solutions using the unlicensed 60GHz spectrum. Kick-off trials will be conducted in mid-2019.
