European telecom companies sign 5G manifesto

Key players in the European telecoms industry have presented a 5G Manifesto to the European Commission. The manifesto pledges to launch fast 5G mobile network in all EU member states by 2020. Yet, it also criticises BEREC's draft EU net neutrality guidelines, as they could obstruct innovation and lead to 'significant uncertainties'. The manifesto will be used by the European Commission in its development of the 5G Action Plan, which will include a proposal on the review of the regulatory framework. The Action Plan will be presented in September
