In order to address the issue of digital divide, the city of Ghent in Belgium has decided to provide digipacks consisting of a laptop, digital training, and financial aid for Internet subscriptions to the most vulnerable. As part of this initiative, more than 2500 packs will be distributed as of 2021 and users that receive the assistance will be taught how to use the equipment, install software, and how to make use of some essential digital services.
