The Delhi government is considering adoption of biometric scans and a queue management system to enhance property registration services. According to a statement by Revenue Minister Kailash Gahlot , such a system would eliminate long queues that are typically witnessed in sub-registries across India's capital. In practice, use of biometrics for property registration will require registration for the Aadhar Unique Identification (UID) number. This would increase the use cases for Aadhar, which although not mandatory is progressively being used for e-government services.
