CNIL, the French data protection authority, has released guidance regarding employee data collection by employers during COVID-19. This guidance indicates how measures of employers to guarantee the security of their employees needs to take into account data protection laws, in particular for health data. CNIL recalls for instance that employers cannot establish databases with their employees' health data, and that mandatory automatic temperature checks are also forbidden.
