According to the Guardian, Liberty has lost its latest high court challenge against the 2016 Investigatory Powers Act (IPA). In a judgment on Monday, judges dismissed Liberty's claim that government surveillance practices were incompatible with human rights law. The judges concluded that the IPA included several "safeguards against the possible abuse of power".
