Zero Draft Cultural Diversity

The Zero Draft Paper of the WSIS + 10 Review Process has been published and recognises that "relevant local content and services should be developed and made available in different languages and formats that are accessible to all people, who also need the capabilities and capacieties, including media and information literacy skills to make us of ICT" (para 18). It recommends that "capacity development should be emphasised to empower local experts and local communities to fully benefit from and contribute to ICT development applications" (para 27).
