The UN Children's Relief Fund (UNICEF), the African Union (AU), and the EU have jointly released the report#YourVoiceYourFuture that summarises recommendations from four U-Report polls conducted across Africa and Europe in which 450,000 respondents between 14 and 35 years old expressed their views on key topics that will affect their future and are relevant to the partnership between Africa and Europe. Participation in decision-making, quality education, internet access, and the climate crisis were some of the main concerns. The report found that 75% of young people faced barriers to accessing the internet, citing high cost of data (38%), inability to afford internet devices (29%), and lack of electricity (40%) as the main obstacles.
