In a news report that highlighted the views from the blog post, Mr. Berners-Lee  echoed young people, with the right effort by all stakeholders, can connect to a web that empowers them to shape their world. Highlighting the numerous opportunities that access brings, Mr. Berners-Lee charged governments and all stakeholders to recognize internet access as a basic right just as we did with electricity in the last century. He further encouraged that through funding for network infrastructure, subsidies and support for community networks, the web can be brought into the hands of all young people on earth.
