Feb, 10, 2023 Hi-network.com
E-learning toys producer VTech has updated its Terms and Conditions to limit its liability in the event that its platform is hacked again. This could have consequences on the way the industry reacts to hacks, especially those involving the safety of children online. The company's database was hacked in November 2015, exposing the data -including names and home addresses of children -of almost 5 million parents and over 200,000 children. Following the revised Terms and Conditions, exposed by anAustralian security specialist, parents have been urged to boycott the company.
