Underneath the National Commission for Science and Technology (NCST), the Malawi government has launched the Operationalisation of the Science and Technology Fund aiming at achieving a science and expertise-led improvement nation. The fund will assist the citizenry, particularly the youths, to have an entry to initiatives that may enhance the technological improvement of the nation. The fund will advance science, technology, and innovations (STI) for sustainable progress by supporting youth initiatives focused on technological improvement. 'The operationalisation of the ST fund will give citizens a chance to participate in STI which will advance technology in the country, claiming that a good number of people do not take part in STI due to lack of funds,' said Malawi Minister of Education Agnes NyaLonje. The minister has also called upon different stakeholders to continue supporting the fund.
