The Canadian Minister of Innovation, Science, and Industry Honourable Fran?ois-Philippe Champagne declared a$80 million investment to 29 organisations in Canada which will provide 3 million training opportunities to capacitate the youth with coding and digital skills. The training will target students, from kindergarten to Grade 12 with digital skills including coding, data analytics, and digital content development. The fund is provided within the CanCode program which helps Canadian teachers gain the required knowledge to train students to be prepared for the jobs of the digital economy. 'To drive our economic success for years to come, we must support young Canadians in the digital world. By investing in resources that teach students things like coding and data analytics, we are helping them gain the skills needed to succeed in the 21st-century economy. These are the skills that will help them transition from the classroom to research labs, shop floors, and boardrooms,' said The Honourable Champagne.
