The European Publishers Council filed a complaint against Google with the EC, over alleged anticompetitive ad tech (the technology behind online ads) practices. The group argues that Google's tactics in ad tech 'cause considerable harm to European press publishers, advertisers, and consumers in the form of supra-competitive fees, lower quality of service, and less innovation'.
