Google's 'hidden' feature alerts users when their personal information is shared online

Oct, 28, 2023 Hi-network.com

Google introduced a 'hidden' feature, which alerts users when their personal information is posted online, allowing them to remove these results. Given that Google holds 83% of the search market, it is shown that if someone were to browse your personal information (your name, address, phone number, email, etc.), they would most probably start by using this search engine.

The new feature continuously scans for results of users's phone numbers, email, names, and addresusers'sd notifies the user when it discovers any such information. Then, it is up to the user to decide whether or not to instruct Google to delete these results.

Users can access this feature by simply browsing this link: myactivity.google.com/results-about-you. It should be noted that Google doesn't delete users information from the internet entirely, but it removes it from Google Search results, making it more challenging for people to discover that information using Google.
