Facebook will launch its news portal from May. The service will offer articles from more than 100 current German media outlets, including the national publisherDie ZeitandDer Spiegelto regional publications like theRheinische Post. However, the portal will not include important publishers such as Axel Springer, which publishes one of the most popular titles, including theDie Welt.Axel Springer is out of the deal allegedly because of the low payments Facebook is offering. The publisher said it supports an European copyright regime that allows all media companies to receive reasonable remuneration for their content.
