Indonesia awaits progress on a legally-binding document to accompany the draft presidential regulation on digital transformation for the integration of the national digital services. In the meantime, the government has increased efforts in the area of public service integration. In doing so, the National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas), in collaboration with other arms of government, including the Bureaucratic Reforms Ministry have undertaken a project to better facilitate the integration of public data. Project milestones include regulations on data exchange governance and a data exchange platform's budgeting, development and operations. The Satu Data Indonesia [One Data Indonesia] platform will be in sync and structured at all levels.
The government encourages all stakeholders to participate in the SDI implementation and has buttressed the call with clear guidance on how people can do so. The portal is expected to serve nationals in the public and private sectors and those within civil society spaces.
