China postpones digital currency plans due to Coronavirus

The People's Bank of China postponed the development of a digital currency (DCEP) as a result of the coronavirus. The news was confirmed by the CEO of BankLedger, a company that claims to be involved in the development of DCEP. The DCEP is the virtual version of the Chinese yuan and in the long run is intended to replace paper money.
