The Texas attorney general is leading a group of 50 attor-neys in a mul-ti-state bipar-ti-san antitrust investigation against Google. The coalition announced plans to investigate Google's overarching control of online advertising markets and search traffic, which may have led to anticompetitive behavior that harms consumers. In more than 200 directives, investigators ordered the company to produce detailed explanations by October 9 related to its system of online advertisement. The states want information about Google's past acquisitions of advertising technology companies, including DoubleClick and AdMob; its top advertisers and publishers; data collection practices; pricing models; and the functions of the ad auction market that delivers ads across the internet.
