US Mid-term elections unaffected by cyberattacks according to officials

Nov, 10, 2023 Hi-network.com

Officials monitoring domestic and foreign threats to the US Mid-term Elections have announced that no digital interference has occurred: 'We have seen no evidence that any voting system deleted or lost votes, changed votes, or was in any way compromised in any race in the country', stated Jen Easterly, director of the US Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Agency.
The website of Mississippi's secretary of state, other sites in Champaign County, Illinois, and parts of Arkansas were temporarily inaccessible on 9 November 2022, hit most likely by a denial-of-service attack (DDoS). Nevertheless, CISA has stated that the attack remains an isolated example and that there is no evidence of a 'widespread coordinated campaign' meant to interfere with the democratic electoral process.
