UNICEF Cambodia and the Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans Affairs, and Youth Rehabilitation (MoSVY) are collaborating to combat online child sexual exploitation and abuse through the "Let's Chat" digital campaign.

The 'Let's Chat Campaign' aims to raise awareness of predatory behavior. It includes short videos as well as dynamic updates that focus on hypothetical scenarios and have interactive resources. The program seeks to reach over two million young people online over the next three months. One of the reasons for launching this digital campaign is the findings of UNICEF's 2022 study, Disrupting Harm in Cambodia, which highlighted the need to improve awareness of online child sexual exploitation and abuse across the country. The study found that 11 percent of children aged 12-17 experienced online sexual exploitation and abuse, including blackmail, photos, and unpleasant remarks.

Dr. Will Parks, UNICEF Cambodia Representative, stated that the campaign employs methods and technology to safeguard children, establish a safer environment for informed decision-making, and lower the danger of exploitation and abuse.
