New cybersecurity strategy of Finland

The government of Finland approved the updated cybersecurity strategy. The last version was dated 2013. The new document was released because of significant changes in the operating environment. The strategy is based on 3 strategic guidelines:

  • development of international cooperation with strong EU collaboration,
  • better coordination of cybersecurity management: establishment of the post of Cyber Security Director within the  Ministry of Transport and Communications for national coordination
  • development of cybersecurity competence.
