According to Deutsche Welle, the head of the German data protection authority, Ulrich Kelber, has told German federal bodies not to use WhatsApp, amid concerns that it feeds Facebook with data. In a letter to the federal government, Kelber said that federal bodies must respect, and not neglect, data protection "even in these difficult times."
