Benin and China have concluded an agreement estimated at US$40 million to cooperate on the implementation of a broadband project abbreviated 'PDRHD'. The partnership was concluded by Benin's Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Chinese ambassador to Benin. The project is expected to help lay over 480 kilometers of fiber optics and therefore cover ten urban areas. The 'PDRHD' is an additional project to an initiative 'PDI2T' initiated by Benin's government in 2016 in the telecom and IT sector.
