Amazon aims to boost its merchandise exports from India to reach$20 billion by 2025 by onboarding thousands of small sellers onto its e-commerce platform. Bhupen Wakankar, Director global trade at Amazon confirmed that there has been significant demand for'Made in India'goods in anticipation of the Black Friday Cyber Monday sale. In particular, holidays like Halloween, Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Christmas, and New Year have been instrumental in driving the sales of Indian products in markets including the United States, Britain, Canada, Australia, and Germany.

Amazon Global Trade, the B2C exports platform of the e-commerce giant, was launched in 2015 with a few sellers and has since then has successfully onboarded over 100,000 small manufacturers who are now able to sell a diverse array of products to customers abroad. Notably, some of these sellers are first-time exporters, including individuals who made the career transition to pursue e-commerce exports.

Smaller exporters, who previously had limited access to global markets, have experienced an impressive annual business growth rate of 70% annually through the e-commerce platform, which offers exporters both logistics support and access to over 200 million Amazon Prime members worldwide. In order to further encourage exporters, Amazon has significantly reduced the subscription fees for its global selling program. For a limited time, exporters signing up before March 31 can avail themselves of this program for$1 for the first three months.
