Ghana's government has launched the African Environmental Health and Pollution Management Programme (AEHPMP) that, among other things, aims to mitigate e-waste pollution. More specifically, the programme is expected to raise awareness on pollutants released from e-waste that have a perverse effect on the health of persons and the environment. The funding of the programme will be covered by the World Bank and is estimated at USD 8.7 million.
