Freedom Hosting II, the largest host of Dark Web sites hosting over 10,000 websites, was took down by the hacker associated with the Anonymous group, the Hacker News reported. The attacker defaced hosted websites by leaving a message "Hello, Freedom Hosting II, you have been hacked", but has also stolen the hosting database and demanded a ransom for 0.1 BitCoin (around 100 USD); in absence of response, the hacker has made the database public, disclosing the plain text emails, usernames and hashed passwords of over 380,000 users of the hosted Dark Web sites. According to the message left by the hacker, the attack was pursued in response to huge amounts of child pornography content hosted by attacked hosting provider.
