The European Commission (EC) unveiled the draft of the Declaration on digital rights and principles for digital transformation, as a shared political commitment and responsibility for both the EU and each of the member states and as a reference framework for people, and a guide for businesses and policy-makers. The Declaration in particular addresses putting people at the centre of the digital transformation; solidarity and inclusion; freedom of choice; participation in the digital public space; safety, security and empowerment; and sustainability.
