Although the bill has garnered favourable responses, some lawmakers have voiced criticism due to its lack of specific references to fundamental rights and international conventions. Taking cues from the European Union's AI Act, countries in Latin America are increasingly engaging in discussions or enacting laws to regulate AI, with a particular emphasis on addressing bias and discrimination in AI systems.
