A simple networking problem, where I can connect to the network under the AP but can't get an IP address.

Q: Ask a simple networking question.

Beginner, just now can configure vlan gateway, etc.. A customer network problem envisioned I do not know whether it is right or not, please big brother to help analyze.

The customer's original network is router AR6120S, PPPoE dial-up mode, under the division of 2 S5720S-28P-Li-AC running a working network of about 40 PCs, a Huasan S1126F-PWR POE switch with AP, a Huawei 9700S-S side-mounted AC, a Huasan S5120V2-28P-Li-AC with monitoring ( more than 30 cameras).

Recently, there is a situation that the network can be connected under the AP but cannot get the IP address. The plan is to divide the vlan for this work network, and the site visit found that there are several offices connected by fiber at the far end, and the office network and monitoring run a switch.

Currently guessing that the remote end of the use is also Huasan S5120V2-28P-Li. under the connection of the fool switch and fool poe switch. Another possibility is that these fool devices are connected in series. 5120 g1/0/1 under the fool 16-port TP, 16-port TP1 electrical port to the fool poe.

How do I segment this network in this situation? I don't know if there is any chance to save it. Thank you!

A:

All vlan's sit on the router, wired computer terminals use one segment (vlan), wireless ap's two segments (one management segment, one business segment), and monitoring one segment.

If it involves several segments using the same switch, it is recommended not to use a dumb one, if you can only use a dumb switch, then draw a segment, mask write 23/22 bits, make sure you give enough.
