According to a report, the UK Secretary of State for Health and Social Care Matt Hancock stated that all general practitioner (GP) appointments should be done remotely by default, unless there is clinical need to see a patient in person. In response to his comment, the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) expressed concern that remote consultations have increased stress levels both for patients and doctors. Yet, an online poll showed that most GPs think more than half of consultations should be offered remotely even after the Coronavirus pandemic.
