The foreign ministers of NATO member states have approved theCharter of the Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic(DIANA), an initiative dedicated to fostering cooperation between member states, the private sector, and academia on 'harnessing the best of new technology for transatlantic security'. Programmes to be undertaken underDIANAwill see defence personnel, start-ups, scientific researchers, and tech companies work together to 'solve critical defence and security challenges' by leveraging 'emerging and disruptive technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data processing, quantum technologies, biotechnology, novel materials, and space.
