Japan policy makers are calling for reaction from the G7 group on the emergence of China's digital yuan. Parliamentarians from the Japan Liberal Democratic Party, and a former minister of the finance Akira Amari, proposed the issue of creation of China's digital yuan to be an important topic for the forthcoming meeting of seven world's biggest economies, G7 group. They are calling for the US chair position in this case to put the issue of Central Banks issued Digital Currencies so-called CBDC, at the prominent spot for the next G7 meeting. They are concerned that the position of US dollar as a backup currency might be shaken in the future digital commerce world with the emergence of global digital currencies.
