ICANN launches the DNS-EC to build capacity in Africa and the Middle East

ICANN has launched the Domain Name Systems Entrepreneurship Center (DNS-EC) to build capacity in Africa and the Middle East, coming together to develop the local expertise in the domain name sector to help facilitate the growth of this industry and strategically position them for business success according to Nigel Hickson, in the Internet Technical Advisory Committee  (ITAC) Newsletter. Capacity development is a priority for ICANN, especially in the At-Large functions, as evidenced by the work of  the At-Large Capacity Building Working Group.
