In collaboration with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU, GeSI, and the Science Based Targets Initiatives, the GSMA published a document entitled 'Guidance for ICT Companies Setting Science Based Targets' that aims to assist ICT companies, namely mobile network operators, fixed network operators and data centers operators in setting science based targets for greenhouse gases (GHGs). The idea behind the guidelines is to ensure that ICT companies remain compatible with the objectives outlined in the Paris Agreement.
