QAnon, a conspiracy group that spreads false theories such as President Trump fighting a war against elite 'Stan-worship paedophiles' is being banned from Facebook. The platform announced that it is removing all accounts related to the group, even if they are not sharing violent material. The move is an escalation in the platform's actions against the conspiracy group. In August, Facebook restricted more than 1950 Facebook groups and 10 000 Instagram accounts related to QAnon. The newest measures come after Facebook found that the group still spread political disinformation to US voters and used hashtags like#saveourchildren.
